Born and raised in Western NY, transplanted to Michigan to live closer to children & grandchildren. In 2022, I purchased my first home, with the talented help of my son & his crew they chased the snakes away and remolded the house into a home. I live here with my husband, Monty, 4 cats; Pogo, Briggs, Bugsie & Snowball, Cooper (my 4 legged therapist) and way too many chickens.
This picture is one of my favorite pictures of me, taken by my life time friend Julie. She reminds me often that she has been through all of my life chapters.
In this picture, I see a woman who has endured heartache, allowed it to flow through her, not to letting it settle on her heart and make the best of it. I included those red shoes that day because it was a reminder to me that there is no place like home.
At the time of this picture, I was seven months into healing from what I thought was the worst thing that could ever happen to me. I learned that it was the absolute best thing for me! I was learning that home was inside my body. In the process learned how truly amazing home is. I became much more independent and finally learned to love me despite all my imperfections & mistakes! I am a good person!
Michigan may not be where I grew up but it has grown on me.
I do want to explore this state and all that it has to offer.
